A Niger Delta ex-militant leader, Mr. Ayakpo
Niekebi of Niger Delta Advocate for Peace, NDA,
with membership from Ijaw, Urhobo and Itsekiri
ethnic nationalities, has warned Mr Michael Johnny,
Bonny Gawei and Francis Muturu to desist from
inflammatory statements against the Presidential
Amnesty Programme or incur the wrath of Egbesu.
Niekebi, who spoke in Warri, Delta State, warned
that any further anti-Kingsley Kuku comments from
the trio, ex-militants from the region would have no
option but to excommunicate them.
Niekebi noted that the trio were on their own and do
not represent the views of the people of the Niger
Delta region, advising youths to be mindful of the
antics of Johnny, Gawei and Muturu.
According to him, they want to rock the boat after
gaining immensely from the amnesty programme, adding
that such cheap means of seeking to gain favour from
the incoming administration of General Muhammadu
Buhari will not work in the interest of the region.
