They have long co-existed peacefully with the Christian majority and have so far apparently avoided the influence of the kinds of radical Islam that have taken root in neighbouring Nigeria and Mali. Nazir Alema, a university graduate from Accra, had initially told his parents he was traveling to Prestea, a mining town in the country’s west. “Two weeks later on Aug. 16, we got a message on social media from him saying he was at a training ground to join the IS group in an unknown country,” his brother, Kabiru Alema, said. Thousands of foreigners from more than 80 nations have joined the ranks of Islamic State and other radical groups in Syria and Iraq. Alema said his brother had not expressed any particu

TOP 15 SIGNS TO KNOW IF YOUR WIFE/BABE WAMS ONCE A PROSTITUTE.

There is still the danger of being conned by your beautiful girlfriend who could be a covert prostitute or have a history of indulging in it. There are certain signs that must be kept in mind to identify such women , because such women aren’t really the type you’d be looking for, especially when it comes to seeking loyalty within a relationship. Her loyalties are basically reserved for the highest bidder; and if you fail to bid consistently, you’ll lose her in the end. Even women who haven’t prostituted themselves can exhibit these traits below. Technically they may not be prostitutes, but they still have a prostitute’s mind set. Essentially, they prostitute themselves to their boyfriends or lovers for a period of time, as long as these men can afford them. This has led to the coinage of the term ‘retired prostitution’ to such relationships where men are essentially indirectly paying for s*x. So here are some signs you must observe:- 1. My biggest fear is not making heaven - Olamide

Image
Olamide told Andre Blaze in a recent interview that his biggest fear is not making heaven. In his words “my major fear is not making Heaven; the second one is failure. Nobody thought it was going to be this big for me…or for someone coming from Bariga, and you’re not even doing like Pop, RnB or something. You’re rapping, like rap doesn’t even really sell like that in Nigeria. And now you’re coming from the ghetto, and you’re not doing English rap. But glory be to God, I did a lot of hard work and it has paid for me. The grace of God has really helped me as well.” On his baby mama, the rapper said “We’re very cool. We’ve been cool from way back and we’ve been together for almost 5 years now. It’s not just some random chic that came around from nowhere. That’s just it. But the question of marrying her, that one is very hard to answer because Olamide is not God. Only God knows tomorrow.”

Image
Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has called on the All Progressives Party, APC, in the state to stop what it described as the shielding of former governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi from being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for alleged financial recklessness. The party, in a statement by its State Publicity Secretary, Mr Jackson Adebayo also accused Fayemi of distracting the commission’s investigation  through his recent utterances in the media. This came as the APC described the allegation against Fayemi as a pack of lies, noting that the state governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose misrepresented the latter’s  view. The PDP said: ‘’ Why is he coming out almost a year after he was voted out of government by the Ekiti people, when he knows well that some security agencies are after him if not because he want to mislead and coerce them to believe that he was prudent. ‘’We still insist that the leadership of the APC is hell-bent

Home side West Brom, who left out star striker Saido Berahino following a failed bid from Tottenham Hotspur, scored twice through James Morrison, who also had a penalty saved by Thibaut Courtois. But Jose Mourinho’s visitors held on for victory after Pedro had opened the scoring and had a hand in Chelsea‘s second, scored by Diego Costa to make it 2-0. Cesar Azpilicueta scored a rare goal to give Chelsea a 3-1 half-time lead after Morrison had reduced the arrears. And Terry, who was substituted at half-time against Manchester City last weekend, lasted just 54 minutes before he was dismissed for a professional foul on Salomon Rondon. Morrison then headed in his second goal to set up a tense finish, but Chelsea held on. Costa fired the game’s first real chance wide for Chelsea in the opening minutes.

Jonathan doesn’t drink- Abati

Image
Against the widely held perception that former President Goodluck Jonathan, was usually hooked on alcohol, during the twilight of his administration, his former spokesperson, Reuben Abati, has clarified that Jonathan doesn’t drink, adding that it’s only one of the myths about the last administration. Abati, who made the defence of his former boss during a recent interview with Rockcity 101.9 FM, Abeokuta, Ogun State, said he only saw Jonathan drink a glass of wine during special occasions, explaining that the former President never had any episode of drunken to stupor. Abati said: “President Jonathan does not drink. You see, that’s one of the myths about that administration and you must understand how this thing is, it’s all about perception, communication, it’s all about what goes out and it’s about stereotyping. People just stereotype people from a particular part of the country as drunkards, and they look for justification for one type of behaviour or the other. “
