The coils are sold to the public under the brand name: “Wavetide: Plant Fiber Mosquito Coil” and are sold in most of the markets in the state. Pharmacist Ake Ayodele Paul, NAFDAC’s Chief Regulation Officer, told reporters in Kano on Wednesday that the company was initially sealed on 28th of September, 2015, adding that its management had since declined to register the product with NAFDAC despite an invitation for them to regularize the production. Ayodele, who heads the Enforcement and Investigation Unit of NAFDAC, said that NAFDAC has no way of knowing whether the chemicals used by the firm is harmful or not since the product has not been registered. “We tried to check the chemicals and we discovered that the chemicals were labeled in Chinese. So, as an agency, there is no way we could tell whether the chemica

Yoruba and Fulani would have Gone to War if Fulani Herdsmen had killed me - Olu Falae

Image
A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae, has said there would have been ethnic war between the Fulani and the Yoruba people, if his abductors had killed him. He said this on Thursday while narrating his ordeal to the immediate former Minster of Education, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, who paid him a sympathy visit over the incident. Falae said, “God has a way of doing His things. I know God just decided to spare my life; God really saved my life. They tortured me, stripped me naked and did a lot of things to me in their den. They attempted to killed me but they did not succeed. “I also thank God for making me to survive the ordeal because if I they had killed me there, many lives would have been lost too, it would have become an ethnic war between the Yoruba and the Fulani. So I thank God that the matter did not get to that level.” Speaking, Shekarau said the only solution to the security challenges in the country was for the people of the country to emb

Aunt creates a fake Facebook profile to check on her niece and ultimately saves her own life

Image
An Alabama aunt thought her 19-year-old niece was spending too much time on Facebook recently, so she created a fake profile and befriended her to see what she was up to online. But as AL.com reports, the answer she got was more troubling than anything she could have imagined. The niece is Marissa Williams. Williams’ aunt was puzzled by the constant stream of strangers always at her house, so she created a profile posing as a boy named Tre ‘Topdog’ Ellis and befriended her niece and that may have ultimately saved her life. On the first day the two talked online, Williams invited Ellis over to her house to get drunk with her. She sent the fictitious boy her phone number and home address, and said she would have sex with him if he agreed to pay her $50 cell phone bill. As troubling as that is, things were about to take a much darker turn. Just a few days later, Williams told Ellis that she hated her family and wanted to get out of Alabama. She asked Ellis to come kidnap her and said

WTF?? Two young women strip naked in a club just to win an IPhone

Two women jumped up on stage and stripped naked 'for the chance to win an old iPhone '. One of the ladies who was reported to be married stripped off her clothes and gyrated in front of stunned club guests. At one point the MC snatched away the underwear of one of the contestants as she tried to cover her modesty, instead throwing them into the crowd. As she turns around to face the other way she wiggles her bottom to the music and is joined on stage by a second woman. The bizarre dance contest took place in the city of Berezniki in central Russia's Perm Krai region with an iPhone 5s reportedly being offered as a prize. China's first lady suffers embarrassing make-up fail

Image
China's first lady seems to have suffered a regrettable make-up mishap at a dinner two nights ago. Peng Liyuan, dubbed the Chinese Kate Middleton, was attending the Lord Mayor's banquet as part of her husband Xi Jinping's historic state visit to the UK. But when Madame Peng, who was a famous folk singer before she married President Xi , arrived at the lavish event at London's Guildhall, something seemed odd with the foundation on her face. The fashion-conscious first lady had unsightly white powder all over her forehead and nose. Madame Peng is possibly the world's only superstar folk singer who also holds the rank of army general. She has global fame to rival Kate Middleton and is well known in her native China for her folk singing career. Meanwhile her husband had fashion problems of his own, with his trousers appearing a touch too long.

Footballer to take legal action against a toy company

Image
German and Manchester united player, Bastian schweinsteiger is planning to take legal action against a Chinese toy company for using his image. In what may seem a clear case of image exploitation, the company in question produced and marketed a German toy soldier named Bastian bearing remarkable resemblance to the player. According to reports by German daily Bild, Schweinsteiger is suing the Chinese company over the 'Bastian range' of dolls, that not only share a name with the 31-year-old but also bear an uncanny resemblance to him. (left is the doll, and right is the real person) The company however does not believe it has infringed the player's rights. The Chinese maker of 'Bastian' described his similarities to the former Bayern Munich man as "purely coincidental." It added: "The figure is a member of a Wehrmacht supply unit, a so-called 'kitchen boy'." A Dutch company contracted to market the toy in Europe for £65 per piece has a
