Sokoto – Dr Jabbi Kilgori, a chieftain of the All
Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto, on Sunday said
the first 100 days of the Buhari administration had succeeded
in restoring the country’s corporate existence.
Kilgori in Sokoto said that President Muhammadu Buhari
has restored the unity of the nation.
He said that the administration had succeeded in removing
fear in the minds of Nigerians against possible breakup of the
successfully federated nation.
“Many Nigerians before the general election were seen in
hundreds migrating to their states of origin for the fear of
the nation’s break up,” he said.
He also commended the president for his commitment and
goodwill in the ongoing fight against insurgency.
He said that the commitment of Buhari had made it possible
for the security agencies to adopt proactive measures in the
fight against insurgency and other criminalities.
Kilgori, a former commissioner for works in the state, called
for active support of the nation’s stakeholders in the fight
against the insurgents.
He said that active participation of traditional rulers and
religious leaders as well as non-governmental organisations
would greatly assist the officers deployed in the fight against
insurgency.
He urged Nigerians to brace up for the challenges by coming
out with intelligence reports that would enable the security
officers apprehend all those involved in criminal activities for
peace, progress and political stability of the country.
