Sean Tizzle created a spot of drama onstage at last
Saturday’s Star Music Trek finale when he carried out a
mock wedding onstage while performing his hit track “Perfect
Gentleman”.

Coming on a night of high drama and thrilling entertainment
at the annual national music tour sponsored by Nigerian
Breweries, the crowd appreciated the onstage spectacle and
cheered wildly as the pop star first took off his bracelets, then
his watch, then his coat, and finally his tie and threw them
into the delighted crowd.

The night also witnessed performances from 2Face, Sound
Sultan, Immaculate, MI, Joe El, Cynthia Morgan, Seyi
Shay, Young Grey C, Runtown and many others,

Four killed in Burundi gun attack

At least four people were killed on Friday when gunmen ambushed the Burundian army’s chief of staff in a failed assassination attempt. According to a morgue source, three soldiers and three gunmen were killed in the early morning attack in the capital Bujumbura. The source said that an army pick-up brought four bodies to the morgue. However, the main target Gen. Prime Niyongabo survived the attack. Niyongabo is the highest-ranking official to be targeted in a series of attacks on officials since April when President Pierre Nkurunziza announced he was seeking a third term. Nkurunziza’s relection bid continue to raise tension as the opposition says it will violate the constitution and a peace deal that ended an ethnically charged civil war in 2005. Earlier this week, gunmen shot dead an opposition official and in August Gen. Adolphe Nshimirimana, who was in charge of the president’s personal security, was killed in an ambush. Timipre Cousin Kidnapped In Bayelsa By Unknown Gunmen

Gunmen believed to be kidnappers this afternoon kidnapped Krinpere Douglas, a cousin to Timipre Sylva, the APC Governorship candidate for Bayelsa governorship election. According to Nathan Egba, the Director for Media and Publicity of Sylva’s campaign who made this known to newsmen, Douglas was kidnapped along the Ogbia-Brass waterways this afternoon as he was heading to a political rally in support of his cousin, Mr. Sylva. ''The victim was coming for this campaign but, unfortunately, their boat which was in our convoy was attacked by the gunmen who abducted him to an unknown destination. I pray that nothing will happen to him ,'' he said
