FG to tackle unemployment through agric, tech - Osinbajo

The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has said that the Federal Government will improve technology and agricultural developments towards providing job opportunities for the teeming youths.

He also said the administration is committed to solving the power problem and encourage small scale businesses as a way of reducing graduate unemployment.

He spoke yesterday at the 10th anniversary, 7th convocation and Honorary Award ceremony of Redeemer’s University, RUN, Ede, Osun State, where he admonished the graduating students to imbibe the spirit of truthfulness, credibility and openness, adding that in as much as these qualities are embedded in them, they would succeed and triumph in life.

Osinbajo, who described education as light that illuminates, stated that the road to fulfilment in life is characterized by the ability to strive for quality education.

On  provision of qualitative education for citizenry, he said; “As we are committed to the fight against corruption. We shall equally do all we can to provide qualitative education as well as providing enabling environment for Nigerian people to survive.

In his remarks, Governor  Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State, charged universities in Nigeria to turn out graduates that will be able to stand on their own in terms of entrepreneurial skills.

Aregbesola urged the graduating students to be good ambassadors of their various communities, states, Nigeria and the entire world, stressing that they should continue to showcase to the world the virtues of patriotism, love, peace, professionalism and nationalism in all their endeavours.

In his goodwill message, the General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enock Adeboye implored the graduating students to always remain focused, determined and resilient as they are transiting to the new world of fulfilment, challenges and accomplishment.

Pastor Adeboye admonished the graduating students to learn from his life as he was born to poor parents, but was determined to be great and succeed.
